This site is dedicated to the memory of Juan Andreu.

At 90 years old, Juan Andreu continued to add character, humor, and poise to a room. Juan was a family man who loved nature, adventure, and was always ready to make someone laugh. He was patient, calm, and loving, until his last day with us. Even without words, his beautiful blue eyes could tell us a story, a joke, and especially that he loved us. He was blessed to know that he would soon become a great-grandfather, and despite his frequent memory losses, it was a thought that he never forgot, even on a hard day. It was time for God to welcome him, and bring him to our grandmother who he missed so much. Our grandfather, Allo, gave us endless memories throughout our childhood and adulthood. He was our adventure buddy who took us hiking, fishing, ice skating, and swimming. He taught us how to love and appreciate the sights and sounds of nature, and came wandering with us through the woods like a kid. He would tell us stories about his childhood and his own adventures, of course with many jokes in between. These are the parts of Allo that he passed along to our Mom, and also to us. Alzheimers certainly posed a challenge in Allo's life. He had good days and bad, and thankfully he always knew his family no matter what kind of day it was. Many people with a loved one suffering from Alzhemiers are not as lucky as we were. By donating to the Alzheimers Association, you will be honoring our beloved grandfather, Juan Andreu, and helping the cause for many people who continue to fight for a cure. We thank you for the support, warm wishes, generosity, and thoughtfulness that you have shown to our family during this difficult time. We hold Allo heavy in our hearts, and will remember him as the young, entertaining, and wise man that he always was.
